Orchids Queensland was established in 1999 as a central body to represent the Orchid Societies of Queensland and to benefit the member societies and judging panels through the Australian Orchid Council. Incorporation was finalised on the 30th. March 1999. Membership can be Ordinary, Associate or Affiliate. The management committee consists of a President, Secretary and Treasurer and a representative from the Northern region, a representative from the Central region and a Southern region representative. Meetings are normally held prior to the Australian Orchid Council meetings so that agenda items presented by the member societies can be considered for mention at the AOC meeting. Current membership is 54 societies and 3 Regional Councils.
